GREENSBORO, N.C. — A pedestrian was killed in the parking lot of a Greensboro business Wednesday morning.
According to the Greensboro Police Department, Mei Heung Wong, 69, of Greensboro, was walking in the parking lot of a business located at 6001 W. Market St. shortly after 7 a.m. when she was struck by a box truck that was backing up.
Wong was critically injured and pronounced dead at the scene by Guilford County EMS.
The driver of the box truck was not injured in the crash.
The incident is still being investigated by the Greensboro Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.
