Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A man is in  stable condition after Burlington police say he was hit by a car Sunday night.

The man was hit while trying to cross the road in the 1800 block of North Church Street just before 9 p.m.

The man who was hit sustained multiple injuries and was listed in stable condition at Alamance Regional Medical Center, according to police.

Police said the woman who hit him was not hurt and did not see him crossing the street.

An investigation revealed that the mad did not cross at the crosswalk. The woman’s vehicle sustained approximately $500 worth of damage.

North Church Street was blocked for about 45 minutes following the crash.
