Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle at intersection in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The woman who was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night in Greensboro has died.

Police said Danielle Delynn Bailey, 45, of Greensboro, was crossing the street near the intersection of Lees Chapel Road and North Church Street shortly after 8 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle.

Bailey was taken to Moses Cone Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Police classified the incident as an accident and said the driver of the vehicle did stop.

No charges will be filed, police said Wednesday afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing.
