
Update -- Highway Patrol has identified the man who died in the crash along Highway 62 Monday morning as 37-year-old Joshua Darrell Scott of Lexington.
PLEASANT GARDEN, N.C. -- One person was killed in a multi-vehicle wreck in Guilford County early Monday morning.
The wreck, involving three vehicles, happened on Highway 62 eastbound, near Branson Mill Road around 6 a.m.
Two people were injured and one was killed.
Troopers said the man who died was driving a 2003 Chevy pickup eastbound when he traveled left of center and sideswiped a 1991 Chevy pickup. Then he hit a Dodge Neon head-on.
According to officials, the driver of the Dodge Neon was taken to Cone Memorial Hospital and the driver of the 1991 Chevy was treated on the scene.
The man who died was in his 30s according to officials. They are waiting to notify the next of kin before releasing the man's identity.
All lanes have reopened.
