Officer struck by car in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — An officer was struck by a vehicle while investigating a motor vehicle collision on South Elm-Eugene Street shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

While the officer was on the scene, a driver traveling north on South Elm-Eugene Street lost control of their vehicle and struck the officer.

The officer received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local medical facility for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation and no charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle.
