WILMINGTON, N.C. – A former professional baseball player visited a North Carolina news station and hosted a sports segment as “Ron Burgundy.”
Former Red Sox right fielder Trot Nixon visited WWAY-TV in Wilmington on Halloween to host a high school football program.
Nixon did a Ron Burgundy impression, the main character from the popular comedy movie “Anchorman” starring Will Ferrell.
