A North Carolina woman claims to have captured video footage of her dog’s ghost, according to the Daily Mail.

Kimberley Pierce reportedly believes that the footage is her dog forgiving her for putting it down.

Pierce said she recorded the footage a few days after Sadie, her 12-year-old cocker spaniel, died.

Pierce said she was devastated by Sadie’s death and believes that the dog returned to ease her grief.

“I felt so guilty because I was the one who made that decision to have her put down,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. “I signed the papers. I was shaking even just writing my name on them. And I just wanted to tell her, ‘Sadie, I’m so, so sorry and please forgive me for what I’ve done.’”
