APEX, N.C. — An off-duty North Carolina police officer rescued a woman after her car flipped into a creek on Saturday, according to WTVD.

Susan Wilson sent witness video of the overturned vehicle to the station. The crash was reported at about 3:30 p.m. in Apex.

Wilson’s husband ran into creek and pulled the victim from the vehicle. The driver was not seriously hurt.

Wilson’s husband is an Apex police officer who was off-duty at the time of the wreck.

Wilson said many cars had driven by the accident without stopping.
