The Novant Health Public Safety Team issued an advisory to security officers that the use "Pokemon Go" on the property is not allowed.

Novant Health Public Safety Director Kip Clark said the decision was made to prevent the privacy of patients and their families from being compromised.

“At Novant Health, we are committed  to providing a remarkable patient  experience and we felt like in the case of this to provide that experience in an environment of healing  that it was just the right decision to ask people not to play that while they’re here on our campuses,” Clark said. “Folks have been very respectful if we've asked them not to do that; they understand.”

Clark said the restriction is not just at Forsyth Medical Center’s campus (both indoors and outdoors) but any other Novant Health physician office or outpatient center within the organization.
