WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A shooting investigation is underway in Winston-Salem.

Police say they were called to Horizon Lane about a shooting and when they arrive they were told the victim had already been taken to the hospital. The man was admitted to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the torso.

According to police, he and some other people were gathered when a white SUV drove by and opened fire, hitting the victim. They say that he is in critical condition but is considered stable.
