WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Police are investigating a shooting in Winston-Salem.

According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, they responded to reports of a shooting at Follansbee Road and Bridgton Road just before 9 a.m. They say that two people were at the intersection when someone in another car stopped behind them and shot into their vehicle, police say.

They then drove to the Speedway at the corner of West Clemmonsville Road. The driver of the car was hit in the shooting and was taken to the hospital. Her passenger was not injured.
