HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people were shot in High Point Wednesday night.

Police tell FOX8 they responded to the 2300 block of Shadow Valley Road just before 7:30 p.m. and found two people who had been shot.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene and a woman who had ‘several’ gunshot wounds was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

This is the first homicide of 2022 in High Point.

The investigation is ongoing.
