RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man has been charged after what police said originally was called in as a kidnapping on Monday.

After the situation unfolded, a suspect was arrested and charged, but not for kidnapping. Instead, Sean Fyall, 25, was charged with purchasing a firearm in violation of a domestic order, according to the Wake County Detention Center.

Police previously told CBS 17 that Fyall left from Raleigh and was apprehended in Morrisville on Monday morning.

Raleigh police said the incident was isolated and that the involved parties knew each other.
