GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Multiple crashes have shut down a busy stretch of interstate.

I-40 westbound traffic is being diverted onto I-85 south after “multiple collisions” according to Greensboro Police.

DOT traffic cameras show emergency crews near mile marker 223 and a traffic alert says that the closure is near the East Gate City Boulevard exit.
