FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – A North Carolina police officer recently found several thank you notes posted to his patrol vehicle.

The Fayetteville Police Department posted about it last week on Facebook, saying that Officer J. Wall found the notes on his police vehicle.

The officer said he came outside and found citizens putting the notes on the car. He said they then prayed together.

“This is yet another example of the outpouring of support from the community and we cannot thank the Fayetteville community enough for the continued support,” the Facebook post read.

Several police officers have been killed in recent attacks, including three in Baton Rouge and five in Dallas earlier this month.
