CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A North Carolina mother has given birth while she was stuck at home during the snowstorms.
“She’s perfect. Her vitals were perfect. Everything was awesome,” said Amanda Anderson, referring to her newborn baby, Annabelle Jade, according to WSOC.
The baby was born in the middle of a snowstorm at Anderson’s mother’s house on a couch Friday.
The Charlotte Observer reported that the mother and her fiancé went to two hospitals on Thursday, but were sent home because doctors said she wasn’t ready.
After the baby was born, paramedics drove the baby and her mother to a nearby hospital where they are both said to be doing well.
Annabelle weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 inches long at birth, according to FOX46 in Charlotte.
