The next few days across the Piedmont will be tranquil, but cold.

With lots of sun on Monday, the snow will continue to melt. Afternoon highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper-40s.

A strong cold front will cross the state during the day Tuesday. So look for partly cloudy to cloudy skies on Tuesday with highs in the mid-40s. As the cold front moves by, our winds will pick up and snow showers will fall across the mountains.

Our winds will begin to settle down on Wednesday. Despite a full day of sun, Wednesday will be a cold day with morning temperatures in the upper teens to lower-20s. Afternoon highs will be in the low-to-mid-30s.

Thursday will be partly cloudy and warmer with morning temperatures in the lower-20s and afternoon highs in the mid-40s.

Strong upper level energy will bring clouds into the Piedmont for Friday. With more clouds around Friday will be a cooler day with highs in the lower-40s.

For Saturday and Sunday, a warming trend will begin. Sunny on Saturday with highs in the upper-40s. We could have some rain showers around on Sunday with highs in the mid-50s.
