BURLINGTON, N.C. — A school bus carrying 29 students was involved in a wreck in Burlington on Friday afternoon.

The wreck happened around 3:05 p.m. on West Davis Street and May Court. It involved a bus from Clover Garden Elementary Charter School and a Chevrolet Chaprice, Burlington Police said.

Neither the bus driver nor any of the students were hurt. A passenger in the Caprice was treated and released at Alamance Medical Center for minor injuries to his chest, police said.

The Caprice, traveling north on West Davis Street, was trying to make a left turn onto May Court, police said. The car ended up turning right into the school bus traveling in the opposite direction on West Davis Street, police said.

The wreck caused $4,000 in damage to the bus and about $5,000 in damage to the Caprice. The driver of the Caprice was cited for making an improper turn.
