Newborn babies wear face shields to protect them from COVID-19


Newborn babies in Bangkok are getting their first glimpses of the world through face shields.

The babies are wearing the masks to help keep them from being exposed to the coronavirus.

Because newborns are just learning to breathe, nurses don’t want them to have masks covering their noses and mouths.

These face shields are less restrictive but still keep them protected.
