NEW YORK — Three New York Police Department officers helped a man propose to his girlfriend Wednesday afternoon.

The video below shows the officers pull 22-year-old Yehuda Coriat’s car over, accusing him of transporting drugs and weapons, before asking the girl questions about her soon-to-be fiance, according to JP Updates.

Police began to search the car, rummaging through the front and back seats. Finally, the officers opened the truck, exposing balloons, flowers, and the ring.

Coriat said that his fiance wanted him to surprise her in a big way when he proposed to her, so he came up with the best idea possible.

“I brainstormed all day Tuesday to come up with an idea, until it occurred to me to use the NYPD to help me out,” Coriat said, according to JP Updates.
