ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released new surveillance video on Monday of 9-year-old Carlie Trent with her captor.

An Amber Alert was issued last week after Carlie was abducted from her school in Rogersville.

Police have issued warrants for the arrest of Carlie’s uncle, 57-year-old Gary Simpson. They say Simpson doesn’t have custodial rights.

After Simpson picked her up, the two went to a Save-A-Lot grocery store in Rogersville. That’s where the two were captured on surveillance camera.

According to the video description on YouTube, the footage is from last Wednesday, May 4 — the same day the Amber Alert was issued.

Simpson previously had custody of Carlie, but custody was recently given to her biological father, according to WBTV. The change was so recent that the school did not yet have records of the custodial change.

The two are believed to be traveling in a 2002 Dodge conversion van with Tennessee license plate 173GPS.

A $15,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to Carlie’s safe return.

If you believe you know where Carlie or Simpson may be, call Rogersville Police Department at (423) 272-7555 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
