Nearly 10 pounds of marijuana seized in Lexington

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Police reportedly seized nearly ten pounds of marijuana from a Lexington home.

According to the Lexington Dispatch, police say they were on Hames Street for an unrelated reason on Friday when they smelled an odor of pot coming from a nearby house.

Police tell The-Dispatch the residents agreed to a search, after which officers found about 9 1/2 pounds of marijuana in “various locations” of the home.

Four people who live at the home were arrested in connection with the seizure.  They were identified as Pablo Robles Juarez, 25, Jesus Flores Lopez, 43, Dan Lua Ochoa, 28, and Jacqueline Renee Wilson, 43.

Juarez, Lopez and Ochoa are charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and felony possession of marijuana.  They were each jailed under $100,000 secured bonds.

The suspects are all charged with felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance.
