RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is working to accommodate anyone who may need a new ID.

The State DMV has dispatched a mobile unit at the N.C. State Fair so fairgoers can easily renew their licenses – as long as neither a written or driving test are required.

Folks can also request duplicate driver’s licenses for mail delivery, as well as ID cards for children and adults.

So far, fairgoers say they appreciate the convenience and lack of long lines.
