DURHAM, N.C. — A North Carolina Central University student has been charged with murder in the death of a man killed earlier this year, according to WTVD-TV.
Authorities said Tuesday that Rakeem Montel Best, 20, of Durham, has been charged in the death of 19-year-old JeJuan Jonteil Taylor Jr. of Durham.
Best is the third person to be charged in the murder. Hope Farley, 19, of Durham, and Thomas Antwan Clayton, 21, of Morrisville, were arrested and charged with murder in April.
Authorities said the victim was shot and killed in a car at Duke Manor Apartments on South LaSalle Street on April 18.
Farley and Clayton were both also charged with conspiring to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Farley and Clayton remain in the Durham County Jail.
