CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for a gunman after a woman told them someone randomly shot her while she was driving through a west Charlotte neighborhood Tuesday night, WSOC reported.

Glass was blown out of a back seat window — inches away from the driver’s seat — where police said a woman was sitting when she was shot.

She told police she was driving through the intersection of Thomasboro Street and Bradford Drive when a bullet went through her car and hit her in the back.

Police were directed a couple blocks over to Northway Drive where they found the victim after she parked her car in a stranger’s driveway and ran to a door for help.
