FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An elderly woman has been accused of illegally selling alcohol from her Fayetteville home.
In a news release, police said they searched the 71-year-old woman’s home in the 700 block of Wilma Street on Thursday.
Among the items found in the home were 201 cans of beer, 20 bottles of beer, 12 half-gallon bottles of Seagram’s gin, 4 half-gallon bottles of Inver House whiskey, one bottle of Paul Masson brandy, disposable drinking cups, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Haskins has been charged with selling alcohol without an ABC permit, possession with intent to sell alcohol without a permit, and possession, transport or selling of non-tax paid alcohol.
Police, who described the operation as a shot house, said they destroyed the evidence after issuing the charges.
