NC paralympian’s running blades, medals stolen from apartment

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A local paralympian is hoping police will catch the people who broke into his Charlotte apartment.

Paul Peterson III, 22, said thieves stole his clothing, championship medals and his running blades.

“Three running legs! Took all my national championship medals. I mean you know medals, that I had just from over the years,” Peterson said.

The Team USA track and field paralympic sprinter has been preparing for an upcoming race. His training has been put to a halt, as he will not be able to train until he gets his running blades back.
