CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Carolina mother lowered her two children out of a window to save their lives during a house fire.

WCNC reported that Elizabeth Jennings and her children, one of whom is a baby, were trapped in their second-story Charlotte bedroom on Saturday.

A neighbor reportedly heard Jennings screaming and told her to drop her children down to her, according to the station. She had tied a sheet around her two children.

No injuries were reported. Firefighters eventually arrived on the scene. The fire reportedly started when a candle caught a nearby towel on fire.
