CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. – A North Carolina mother accused of murdering her daughter posed for Photoshopped images with the girl appearing as an angel at her gravesite.

The Fayetteville Observer reported that Jeanie Kassandra Ditty, 23, and Zachary Earl Keefer, 32, both of Spring Lake, face charges in the death of 2-year-old Macy Grace.

The baby was taken to a hospital on December 2 and died two days later. The child reportedly had bruises over her entire body and internal injuries including a lacerated liver.

The North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Macy Grace’s death a homicide last week and police filed charges.

The female suspect, who goes by Jeanie Vengen on Facebook, had posed at her daughter’s gravesite for photos shortly after her death.

Ditty then allegedly sent the photos to Pennsylvania-based photographer Sunny Jo so he could Photoshop her dead baby into the pictures.

The photographer said that he decided to do the $500 job for free because he believed she was a grieving mother. Sunny Jo is now speaking out against the suspect.

“Little did I know that this monster wanted these photos done to cover up the involvement she had in the death of her own daughter,” he said on Facebook.

“I just want to apologize to the family of the poor innocent child who lost her life, for having to see those photos. I cannot believe that there are people in society who are capable of doing such a thing and it sickens me that there is.”

The suspects are each charged with first-degree murder and negligent child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury. Both were jailed in Cumberland County without bond.
