NC man scores $200,000 lottery prize after buying scratch-off at convenience store


VALE, N.C. — Steve Presnell, of Newton, bought a Power Shot scratch-off and scored a $200,000 top prize, according to the NC Education Lottery.

Presnell bought his winning $5 ticket from the Banoak Food Center on N.C. 10 West in Vale.

He claimed his prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.

After required federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $141,501.
