COLUMBIA, Md. — A North Carolina man died and at least 20 others were hospitalized, all from apparent drug overdoses at an all-day music festival in Maryland.

Howard County police said Saturday that Tyler Fox Viscardi, 20, of Raleigh, N.C., was pronounced dead after being taken to the Howard County General Hospital.

Viscardi and the others were hospitalized for possible overdoses and other drug-related effects after attending the Mad Decent Block Party Friday at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

A 17-year-old male from Virginia was listed in critical condition after overdosing, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Viscardi was reportedly taken to the hospital around 9 p.m. Friday and pronounced dead shortly later.

The drugs that were involved have not been identified.

The all-day Mad Decent Block Party concert was part of a music festival that travels across the country, featuring electronic dance music.

Police also arrested three people at the event for assault on a police officer, domestic assault and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.  They issued 50 citations for underage drinking.
