NC father accused of beating teenager he found in tent with daughter

WILKES COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina father is accused of beating a teenager who he found in a tent with his daughter.

The Wilkes Journal-Patriot reported that Johnny Ray Isaacs, 44, of North Wilkesboro, faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies said the suspect found a 17-year-old male in a tent with his 15-year-old daughter at about 10 p.m. last Wednesday near the suspect’s home on his property.

The suspect then beat the male teenager several times in the head with a metal flashlight, according to the Wilkes Sheriff’s Office.

The victim had a mild concussion and was taken to Wilkes Regional Medical Center to be treated for lacerations to the head.
