LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina boy who is dancing his way through chemotherapy appeared on The Ellen Show Wednesday.
Braylon Beam, 6, of Lincoln County, has a tumor on his optic nerve.
The one thing that helps his whole family cope with his illness is dancing.
“We pick a song and we try to work on it at home and if it doesn’t turn out too well, we’ll wing it,” Braylon’s dad, Jesse, told WCNC.
Braylon danced onto the set of The Ellen Show, showing off a few of his signature moves.
He told Ellen he wants to be the head coach of the Carolina Panthers some day.
That’s when she responded with a special video message from the Panthers head coach, Ron Rivera.
Then Braylon got some swag from his favorite Panthers player, Cam Newton.
To top it all off, Braylon also got to be the guest D.J. on her show that day.
Braylon’s family took home a few surprises of their own, including a new car and $10,000 from Shutterfly.
