JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Video of a North Carolina-based Marine asking UFC fighter Ronda Rousey to a Marine Corps Ball has gone viral.
Jarrod Hash posted video of himself asking the female champion to the ball to Facebook on Saturday and it already has more than 3 million views.
“You are my celebrity crush, like, I love everything you do and I think you are a phenomenal person,” he said in the video. “Which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball.”
The 22-year-old Marine from New Jersey told WBTV that he has been watching Rousey fight since he was in high school.
He said he thought making the video was worth a shot after a female Marine asked Justin Timberlake to the ball and he accepted.
Hash’s video has been seen more than 3 million times and shared on Facebook more than 145,000 times. But whether or not Rousey has seen it remains uncertain.
Rousey, 28, is the first and current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
