NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. — A man arrested for standing naked on a busy road is accused of spitting blood at a North Carolina deputy.

WECT-TV reported that Chase Alden Bowes, 25, faces charges for indecent exposure, resisting arrest and for allegedly spitting blood at a deputy.

Deputies responded to a disturbance call about a naked man standing on a road shortly before noon Saturday in New Hanover County.

Deputies who arrived to the scene said the suspect was heavily under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

He was placed in the New Hanover County jail under a $10,000 bond and has court planned for Monday.
