MYRTLE BEACH, N.C. — Crews are searching for a 12-year-old boy who went missing while swimming at Myrtle Beach, WBTW reports.
The Myrtle Beach Fire Department arrived on scene at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday afternoon when it received a distressed swimmers call.
Once they arrived on scene, officials administered CPR to one person, took another to the hospital and are still searching for the third.
Battalion Chief Bruce Arnel says crews were using jet skis and a helicopter to search for the missing person. Crosby says beachgoers made a human chain to assist with rescue efforts.
The investigation is ongoing.
