One person was in custody Thursday in connection with five vehicles that were set ablaze at a BMW dealership in Santa Monica, according to KTLA.
Officers responded to the dealership shortly after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report that several cars were on fire, according to a sergeant with the Santa Monica Police Department.
The extent of the damages to the vehicle was not immediately known, but the cars appeared to be a total loss.
Other small fires had also been set near the dealership earlier in the evening, but they have not connected the person in custody to the other blazes.
An investigation into the incident continued.
The identity of the person in custody has not yet been released.
