Mount Airy woman charged with possession of narcotics

MOUNT AIRY, N.C. — Police have arrested a woman in connection with the possession of narcotics following a month-long investigation.

Officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Jefferies Street last Wednesday.

The investigation stemmed from citizen complaints concerning residents selling narcotics.

Jennifer Ann Lieberman, 29, of Mount Airy was arrested in connection with the investigation.

Officers searched the residence as well as vehicles belonging to Lieberman and located a quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medication and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Lieberman was placed in the Surry County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court April 23.
