More than 1,700 without power in Rockingham County; some reports of trees down

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — More than 1,700 Duke Energy customers are without power after storms passed through Rockingham County on Sunday.

Duke Energy’s website listed 1,753 Rockingham County customers without power as of shortly after 9 p.m. The estimated restoration time is 12:30 a.m. Monday.

There have been some reports of trees down due to weather, but no injuries have been reported.
