CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It was much calmer inside Charlotte Douglas International late Sunday night compared to the crowds that filled the airport earlier in the day, according to WSOC-TV.
The TV station reported that hundreds of travelers packed inside the airport, waiting in line to check in. Flights ran smoothly though, with only one cancelled flight which was headed to Salisbury, Maryland.
The lines outside the airport were even worse, with bumper-to-bumper traffic as travelers were trying desperately to get to their flights following the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
