MONROE, N.C. — A Monroe woman is in jail Wednesday morning after police say she stabbed her boyfriend to death.
Police say they were called to Lancelot Drive on Tuesday afternoon on reports of a domestic dispute.
When they arrived, police say they found William Sturdivant, 38, with a stab wound to the chest.
Sturdivant was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Union, then airlifted to CMC Main, where he was pronounced dead.
Sturdivant’s girlfriend, Katondra Tillman, has been charged with first degree murder.
She remains in the Union County jail without bond.
