UPDATE — Mississippi State University has issued an “all clear” after reports of an active shooter on campus earlier this morning.

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State University is on lockdown after reports of an active shooter.

An alert from the school said there was an “active shooter” on campus near Lee Hall. The last update indicates the shooter may be in custody.

The lockdown has not been lifted.
