CHARLOTTE, N.C. — People are wondering how medical waste and patient paperwork ended up in yards along a busy Charlotte street Thursday morning, according to WSOC.

Neighbors along Randolph Road in the Cotswold neighborhood said the medical waste spread across both sides of the street.

The waste reportedly includes surgical gloves, masks, small vials and what appeared to be forceps and other items from a dentist office.

The city of Charlotte sent a cleanup team, which spent about an hour picking up the mess.

Paperwork was also found from a dentist office located about two miles from the location. The invoices reportedly had patient names on them but did not include any personal information.

Neighbors said they are concerned about how this could have happened.

The people at the dentist office said the surgical gloves and other items are not considered hazardous waste. The office said the city picked up the trash from a city dumpster.
