OAKS BLUFF, Mass. — A Massachusetts man is accused of breaking into a home, painting the victim’s dog purple and stealing a car over the course of one weekend, according to WFTX.
Police say they received reports of a stolen car and crash on Saturday. Several minutes later, they got a burglary call and upon investigation, discovered several items were stolen and the family’s dog had been painted purple.
After following up with a neighbor, he gave them the description of 19-year-old Felix Reagan, who he said knocked on his door earlier in the day.
Raegan was eventually arrested and taken into custody. Police found him with the break-in victim’s belongings and purple paint on his hands.
Reagan is charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, larceny of a motor vehicle, destruction of property, cruelty to animals, possession of a Class A substance, possession of a Class E substance and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer.
At this point in the investigation, it’s not known why he painted the dog.
