Man wounded in Burlington shooting

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police say a man was wounded early Thursday in a shooting in Burlington.

The shooting was reported shortly after 2:30 a.m. at 778 South Graham Hopedale Road.

When officers arrived, police say they found 25-year-old Markeise Neal inside the business suffering from gunshot wounds to his left hip and right leg.

Neal was taken by ambulance to UNC Chapel Hill Hospital for treatment.

An ample suspect description was not provided.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 229-3500.
