HALIFAX, England — A British man with Crohn’s disease recently posted a photo to his Facebook page to prove that looks can be deceiving.

Ste Walker, 24, told Buzzfeed News that throughout the course of his life, he’s faced numerous complications with the disease, which causes the gastrointestinal tract to become inflamed.

In his post, Walker explained that he has undergone about 80 operations and hasn’t been able to eat solid food or drink anything for two years.

“People are too quick to judge these days. Just because I look normal and speak normal, that doesn’t mean I don’t have a major disability,” he wrote.

Walker explained that he often gets harassed for using handicapped-accessible toilets and parking spots.

After becoming fed up with the false assumptions, Walker uploaded two side-by-side photos of himself. In one of the photos, he is wearing a shirt and in the other he displays all the devices that he wears under his clothes to survive.

In the post, Walker explains all of the medical devices he has to use to manage his condition.

Walker ends the post by asking everyone to understand that just because someone looks healthy, it doesn’t mean that they are.

His post went viral and has more than 30,000 likes.
