HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A man ordered a chicken sandwich from a Bojangles’ restaurant in Virginia and found thousands of dollars in cash in his bag.
WTVR reported that it happened Friday as James Minor was at the drive-thru at one of the chain’s locations in Henrico County.
He had originally ordered a chicken sandwich that he said was too cold. So he asked the person at the window for one with fresh chicken.
That’s when he said he was handed a Bojangles’ bag full of cash, reportedly about $4,500. When he realized it was cash, he quickly went inside the restaurant to return it.
Minor said the staff was rude to him when he returned it. But the restaurant has since offered him another meal, a $100 gift certificate and a tailgate party.
