DURHAM (WTVD) — Police are looking for 30-year-old Andrew Koko Scheper in the murder of a man whose decapitated body was found floating in a Durham pond Monday.

The remains of 38-year-old Trinity James Wilkins — who also used the name Trinity Smith — were found by volunteers cleaning up the pond area during a Martin Luther King Day Of Service event.

Police said Wilkins, of Durham, was reported missing earlier this month. He was last seen by family members in November.

Scheper — also of Durham — is charged with one count of murder.
