Man wanted for kidnapping, assault in Rockingham County

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Rockingham County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man in connection with multiple charges.

Michael Jared Medley, 35, of Stokesdale, is wanted on charges including first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and assault by pointing a gun, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The charges stem from an incident that happened at Medley’s residence early Sunday morning involving his girlfriend and a friend of hers, the sheriff’s office said.
