Man robbed at gunpoint in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for whoever is responsible for an armed robbery that happened early Monday in Greensboro.

The robbery was reported at 817 Summit Ave. around 1:30 a.m. The victim told police that, about thirty minutes earlier, he was walking on Park Avenue near Bessemer Avenue when a silver vehicle approached him from behind.

The victim said two of three suspects got out of the vehicle and demanded money.  One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The suspects fled the scene in their vehicle with the victim’s property, police said.

The suspect who was armed was described as a black male standing 6’1″ tall with long dreadlocks.  He was wearing all black clothing at the time.

No other suspect or vehicle descriptions were available.
